Beach
The nearest beach is at Ile Rousse but you can take the drive to Lozari, a fabulous large beach that is hardly ever crowded. Access to the beach is between the turnings for Palasca and Belgodère on the N197 and there is ample car parking. There are two beach cafés towards the western end of the beach. This beach is stepped and shelves quite steeply at the waterline and, in times of rougher seas, the undertow can be hazardous so may not be suitable for less accomplished swimmers and children.

For an interesting day out and some great gifts to take home follow the "Artisan Trail" up through the hilltop villages of the Balagne. In Calenzana you will find delicious homemade biscuits "E Fritelle" and Raku ceramics, there is honey in Moncale, glass blowing and wine in Feliceto, olive oil in Avapessa, jewelery and pottery in Corbara and a number of different crafts - everything from music boxes to printmaking - in Pigna.
